Thank you in advance.I've read 'Il diario segreto di Marco Aurelio' by Giulio Castelli, it's an interesting work, it's the story of a Greek slave and intimate friend of Marco, who saved the private diary of the Emperor when he died and they began the hard times of Commodus, I've found the novel interesting because the writing style of Castelli is simple but also very well documented, it's a calm and melancholy work, and the character of Marco is painted using soft colors and a light touch, I have found the book good, even because I'm very interested in the age of Marco and Commodo for a project about an AAR (a horror tale) placed in the years covering the last stage of the Marcomannic wars and the begining of Severus reign. I'd like to know how good it is before I buy it. One question, Diocle: are you familiar with Giulio Castelli's work? I found a historical novel of his (Imperator) that I think is part of a trilogy.
